About – 10 for leaders
10 for leaders is a project designed for the business environment. – We are a group of professionals passionate about learning who streamline the time, information, and skill resources of our members (leaders from various fields) by organizing events and workshops where they exchange ideas, and by generating relevant content to bring balance and inspiration to every leader in the community/Romania.
Toud – name identification, brand identity definition, and design
We, Toud, facilitated the development of the brand identity by applying our own process of identifying the common ambition and common values, and formulating them. In this process, we worked in a mixed group (agency + team members of the new project), organizing a series of workshops together. During this stage, we identified the common ambition, common values, vision, mission, brand personality, and the name of the future organization. We also paid attention to the learning market and its main players, as well as the needs of the people targeted by this project (sketching a series of buyer personas), seeking to capitalize on the information that both Toud and the members of the new project have about the world of learning in Romania.
Visual identity
10 for leaders means – transformation evolution network for leaders. We chose to use the digit 10 instead of the acronym TEN. In this way, we succeeded in obtaining a strong and recognizable symbol. This symbol has multiple meanings; on one hand, it points toward the “grade 10” perfection, but also toward the idea of humanity, simplification (binary system 0 and 1), and even toward the idea of full harmony (bringing together straight and circular shapes).
The chosen color palette is bold; we went toward vibrant, vivid colors capable of inspiring joy, courage, and the desire to push your limits, to seek freedom, as well as the idea of giving back—of being generous.
The 10 for leaders logo is strong and very easy to identify in a sea of logos.
An exercise
We validated the logo and the visual identity suite by looking at the logos of the main learning and networking platforms in Romania. We aimed to test the extent to which the 10 for leaders logo is visible, memorable, and able to act as a vessel that acquires content, relevance, and meaning throughout the interaction with the organization. We recommend this exercise for validating a logo, especially when it can be done in an organized manner with a sample of several dozen people.
