A branding and web presence project for France
Au Petit Pêcheur du Moulin Plateau
I recently completed a branding and website project for France, for a small business in the town of Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
Our goal was to create a very fresh, vibrant image while maintaining simplicity in design and communication. We wanted this small business’s image to be human and to consistently convey elements of its “brand personality”—elements drawn directly from the team itself.
After conducting extensive research on this business’s market and the competition, and following an analysis of past feedback from potential customers, we got to work. In phase two, we developed our strategy, which guided us in creating our visual identity and website.
I chose a mix of hand-drawn fonts and simple, clean fonts to illustrate that human touch I mentioned earlier, as well as the idea of simplicity and trust conveyed by printed fonts.
I designed a very simple logo that evokes the idea of fishing as well as getting away into nature.
The website is a single-page site—simple, clean, and designed to guide anyone looking to escape into nature for a few hours.
More details can be seen in the illustrations below.
