VINARTE – founding parents of modern romanian wine

Soare Cabernet Sauvignon, Bolovanu Cabernet Sauvignon, and Prince Mircea Merlot are the first iconic VINARTE wines established in Romania during the last decade of the 20th century and the early 2000s. They brought the company recognition as a specialist in red wines, a reputation it continues to enjoy today without interruption. Alongside the reds, the sweet wine Sirena Dunării—produced from grapes enriched in exceptional years through exposure to noble rot Botrytis Cinerea—demonstrated the winery’s outstanding potential in white wines as well.
All these legendary names—which are practically the Romanian equivalent of the Gotha Almanac for noble wines—are the result of the vision, philosophy, investments, and hard work of the people at VINARTE. A producer whose history is almost inseparable from the story of modern Romanian wine at the highest level.

About the project carried out with Toud

In 2021, Vinarte needed a series of materials to increase its visibility in three Asian markets: Japan, China, and South Korea. One of these materials was a presentation brochure showcasing its wines and the story of this wine producer in four languages. Toud’s suggestion was to create a separate brochure for each audience, though the brief was very strict.

Based on the visual identity and the company’s own photographs, we created a brochure with texts in four languages: Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and English. Our main objective was to design a spacious layout that captivates and, most importantly, allows readers to easily follow the narrative in their chosen language.

The result can be seen in the digital version of the brochure, here.
